ukulele

Silas really likes the ukulele, but he’s a little young to learn, I think. I did teach him how to hold it, though, so at least that’s a start. Anyway, I think it’d be great if Silas learned to play ukulele like his Uncle Andrew.

I also plan on teaching him piano, and have started teaching him a few things already. Brianna loves the piano too. She sat on my lap, while I played a song today, and I held her hand and let her play the melody with her index finger. :)

lafontaine concert

Last night we were at a LaFontaine concert at our church. It was really awesome, and very inspirational! I loved it! I bought their newest CD, “Beautiful Day”, and Sheri LaFontaine’s Christmas CD called “Wonder”. Can’t wait to listen to them!

The LaFontaine adults singing at the concert.

Wesley VanWyk. The last time we heard him sing, he was just a kid!

The LaFontaine kids singing. They did an excellent job, and we were all impressed.

The LaFontaine parents singing! I think they’re so cool.

Great concert!

I’m sure most of you have already heard about Susan Boyle, the latest and greatest contestant on the 2009 Britain’s Got Talent! I was on YouTube a few days ago and ran into a clip of her singing audition. Until this month she was a regular 47 year old, unmarried, unemployed British lady. Overnight she has become a celebrity.

Her voice is amazing, and in my opinion, the best female voice I’ve ever heard.

Below is link to a clip of her audition, as well as a few clips of her talking before she sang, and the judges’ comments:

Enjoy! :)
