Today was Silas’ first day of preschool! In fact, he is there right now, as I’m typing this blog post. He is excited about it, and had no problem with me leaving him there. I walked him to his classroom, and he found his name card and put it on the wall where all the kids put their names. He loves spelling his name. Then he put his backpack on one of the hooks on the wall. I gave him a kiss and hug, and when I left, he was playing cars and building a road with another kid. I can’t wait to hear how his day went when I pick him up!
Here are some pics of Silas before preschool today. He didn’t want to smile for the pics. I think he thought he was too grown up. 🙂
The second app in our Little Scribes collection, Jewish Flash Cards, has recently become available on iTunes! Several Jewish-themed images have been added to it, along with most of the original artwork. It is compatible with the iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad.
I am so excited to announce that “Little Scribes”, the app my brother, Andrew Hoyer, and I have been working on for the last few weeks, is now available on the iTunes App Store! It is compatible with the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch.
Little Scribes is a delightful flashcard app for kids, with a biblical theme. Each and every flashcard relates to a story in the Bible, which gives parents a great opportunity to teach their young children about the Bible, in a fun and exciting way! Kids who have used this app have shown great enthusiasm, and are interested in seeing the flashcards over and over.
Andrew Hoyer is the app developer, and I did the artwork. It was a lot of fun to create, and I hope you really enjoy it!

Sorry I haven’t made a post in a long time! I’ve been busy for over a month, working on the artwork for an iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch App that my brother, Andrew Hoyer, programmed. Also, I’ve been updating my business website, since there will be a link to it from the App. So, I haven’t had a whole lot of free time. But the app should be out on the iTunes Store this week, and I’ll let you know all about it then, and you can check it out for yourself!
But for now, here is a picture of Brianna holding my old Cabbage Patch doll! I was going through her closet and getting out all the old baby stuff, and I had my Cabbage Patch on the closet shelf. She thought it was neat. 🙂
We didn’t do much to celebrate Valentine’s Day today, but we had a fun day.
The kids opening their Valentine’s Day stuff from Opa & Omsie.
The ring Brian got me. Love it!
Silas made this Valentine for Brian and I, in Sunday School. The words were written by one of the Sunday School teachers, and instead of writing Mommy and Daddy, Silas told them to write our real names, and he told them what our full names were.
The kids helped me make this Valentine’s cake!
Brian also got me 4 different types of gummies (my favorite junk food), and I got him a “Ronald Reagen at 100” magazine, put out by LIFE.
That’s it for now! Happy V-day, all you love birds!
